FIRST FESTIVAL – YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The first Festival of Assisted Reproduction was held on 22^nd September 2018 in the Envoy Conference Hall in Belgrade. More than 700 people paid visits. There were 170 free consultations, both for couples and individuals, organized with the best fertility experts from the country and abroad. This was the first mass event organized solely and uniquely in order to empower couples having a problem with conception. That is why we chose: You are not alone, for the Festival’s slogan.

There were six panel discussions organized with 18 doctors, fertility experts who spoke openly about infertility, donation, legislations and regulations, and many other topics. There were 27 exhibit stands.

Such an event, dealing exclusively with infertility problems, has never been organized in our region.

Many visitors, not only couples interested in solving infertility problems but also journalists, took part in very active discussions. We heard a lot of new things and we learned a lot. There was a need for extra seats among the interested visitors.

At the Festival a Wall of Hope was set up for the first time. Many visitors went to see this interesting and useful Festival corner. Interested visitors were drawing their feelings while the psychologist interpreted the meaning of those drawings. Certainly, the Wall of Hope was a unique experience for all the visitors. The motivational messages written by couples and placed on this wall left many speechless and no one emotionless. So much could be said in only one picture or with a few words.

One more interesting Festival corner was its Photo Corner. Visitors were able to take a photo within a frame that was made especially for this event.

We finished the First Festival with a lot of good impressions. There were many media reports about it. Also, we have provided the necessary help to many satisfied couples, as well as individuals. We were proud to be able to organize such an important event throwing a completely different light on infertility.
